Tine Heyse

Climate and energy have been common themes throughout my career. I worked 10 year as a campaigner for Greenpeace. I gained political experience when working in the cabinet of the Flemish minister of Welfare after which I started working for the Climate Change unit of the Federal Ministry of Environment. I also worked as climate and energy expert for the Green party in the federal parliament.

Notwithstanding the fact that throughout my career, I have been dealing a lot with national and international climate and energy issues, I have also been very active at local level. I am part of the city council since 2000 and since the beginning of 2013, I am deputy mayor of Environment, Climate, Energy and Development in Ghent. I am Co-President of Climate Alliance since 2015.
