Michael Kerschbaumer studied Economics and Adult Education at the University of Graz, the Universidad de Malaga and the National University of Ireland. After working in as a trainer in adult education for various projects, he was hired by a IT Start-Up to run its international training program. When the IT bubble burst, Mr. Kerschbaumer took up a position as innovation manager for the biggest private training company in Austria. In 2005 he moved to the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG, where he set up the Enterprise Europe Network and the regional contact point for the EU Framework Program. Mr. Kerschbaumer is chairperson of the Enterprise Europe Network’s Thematic Group on SMEs in EU Programmes and the Deputy Chair of the Network’s Sector Group Intelligent Energy.
