How do the Awards work?

The EUSEW Secretariat issues a call for submissions several months before the annual EUSEW Policy Conference. After the call has closed, the submissions are checked against the eligibility criteria and reviewed by a Technical Advisory Committee, comprising experts from different fields of sustainable energy.

The final 12 nominees and eventual category winners are selected by a high-level jury, with an extra Citizens’ Award presented to the nominee who wins an online public vote. Nominees find out whether they have won an Award at the EUSEW Policy Conference in June each year, when winners are announced at the Awards Ceremony.

Vote for the Citizens' Award of the EU Sustainable Energy Awards: choose your winner from this year's 12 energy projects!
