Energy Performance of Buildings. Evolution and Diversity of the Legal Requirements.
We assist at the development of a significant diversity of concepts for energy performant buildings. The efforts to keep realistic these concepts have been materialized in labels like “cost-optimal building”, “nZEB” or “NZEB”, “passive house”, “active house“, “smart building”, “energy-plus building” etc. Problems that need attention and debate are related to how tehnological, economical and financial reality may keep the pace required by the different strategies of the European Commission in the effective transposition of such models in our country. Another set of problems reffers to the impact of implementation of these models on the health and daily life of building users, as well as on the society as a whole. Analysing just one segment of energy consumption generates the risk to divert the attention on generation of other energy consumptions, such as the net final results may be far from the measure of the efforts.
