Main programme

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) took place on 25-29 October 2021 under the theme: ‘Towards 2030: Reshaping the European Energy System’.

The event comprised a 3-day digital Policy Conference, the EUSEW Awards, the second European Youth Energy Day as well as 1:1 video meetings, virtual stands and other networking activities. Participants also had access to online side events and Sustainable Energy Days, digital events taking place all over Europe.

Networking Village

The virtual Networking Village is the perfect complement to the high-level Policy Conference. It provides the opportunity for participants and stakeholders to exchange ideas on policies and best practices, and is a chance to lay foundations for future cooperation.

EUSEW Awards

The winners of the four categories - Innovation, Engagement, Young Energy Trailblazer, Woman in Energy - as well as the Citizens Award, received by one of the projects in the first two categories, were announced live during EUSEW 2021.

Sustainable Energy Days

In 2021, Sustainable Energy Days took place throughout Europe, organised locally by public and private organisations. These digital events are the perfect opportunity to engage with local communities and other green changemakers throughout Europe.

European youth energy day

During EUSEW 2020, young EU citizens took centre stage at the first ever European Youth Energy Day. The 2021 edition was held as a Communication Hackathon. Young people aged 18-34 shared their vision on Europe’s energy future, presenting their ideas to help make the European Green Deal a reality!

EUSEW EXTENDED PROGRAMME

An extended programme of side events took place prior to the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) from 11 to 22 October.

These include a series of digital events complementing the main programme.

From workshops to panels, talks and other activities, the extended programme offered further opportunities to promote and engage in issues surrounding clean energy and Europe’s Green Deal’s objectives.
