High Level Policy Conference
Brussels, 16-18 June 2015
Call for contributions
The Policy Conference of the 2015 EU Sustainable Energy Week will take place from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 June 2015 in Brussels. It will be held at two different venues, the European Commission’s Charlemagne building and the Committee of the Regions' Jacques Delors building.
Since 2006, the Policy Conference during the EU Sustainable Energy Week has brought together thousands of energy experts, policy makers, representatives of the civil society and the media, from the EU and beyond, to discuss topics related to secure, clean and efficient energy.
The 2015 Policy Conference will consist of:
- Policy sessions organised by the European Commission;
- Sessions organised by energy stakeholders;
- The Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony;
- An interactive exhibition and networking village.
In parallel, side events will be organised at different venues across Brussels. While they have a strong thematic link with the Policy Conference and they will benefit from all the communication and promotion activities of EUSEW, their logistical organisation is entirely under the responsibility of their respective organisers.
Call for Contributions to the EUSEW Policy Conference
Energy stakeholders wishing to actively participate and/or organise a session during the Policy Conference in the Charlemagne or in the Committee of the Regions buildings need to respond to the Call for contributions published on this site.
The Call for contributions aims to gather proposals for sessions and interventions from stakeholders who wish to contribute to the debate on the existing sustainable energy policies and on how they should evolve and develop in view of the 2030 and 2050 objectives.
The European Commission therefore cordially invites stakeholders to:
- Apply for the organisation of a session at the venues of the Conference;
- Propose a speaker for a European Commission policy session.
The modalities for the application and the criteria for the selection procedure are explained in the link below.
The Call for contributions to the EUSEW Policy Conference is open until Friday 27 March 2015. The final decision on the allocation of sessions will be taken around the end of April.
